Tubi is a free streaming service with a surprisingly fantastic collection of new and classic horror films. If you're looking through the app and can't decide which scary movie you want to watch next, we have a few suggestions for you!

Don't Breathe (2016)

Home invasion thrillers don't get much scarier than this taut and smartly executed thriller, which reunites director Fede Alvarez with star Jane Levy after they worked together on the 2013 Evil Dead remake. Stephen Lang is also suitably terrifying as the initial "victim" of a break-in who then turns the tables on his robbers in the most horrific ways.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)

Tobe Hooper's classic slasher film is on Tubi! If you've never seen the original, I highly recommend it, as it is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's the film that went on to kickstart a franchise hinging on the terrifying killer Leatherface and its influence can be seen all over the horror genre. Ti West took inspiration from the 1974 film for his movie X, which kick-started a trilogy of its own.

Underwater (2020)

Kristen Stewart stars in this Lovecraftian sci-fi horror film set on a drilling station deep beneath the ocean. When water starts pouring into the station, the survivors realize the only way to escape is to find the main facility, which means a long walk across the dark sea floor where they encounter a never-before-seen monstrosity lurking in the depths.

Slither (2006)

This alien invasion movie from writer and director James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) takes a simple premise to extremes. Slither has a little bit of everything: aliens, gross-out gore, comedy, and more. It'll make you laugh out loud and then feel nauseous moments later, sometimes simultaneously.

The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014)

If you know nothing about The Taking of Deborah Logan, I suggest turning the film on without looking it up. There's a scene so creepy that it's often considered one of the most memorable in the genre, and you might have seen it floating around on social media. A unique found-footage film, this movie follows a documentary crew trying to document patients living with Alzheimer's, only to find one patient is struggling with something far more malevolent.

Sleepaway Camp (1983)

Featuring one of the most shocking twist endings in horror movie history, Sleepaway Camp is a fun, over-the-top slasher about a killer terrorizing preteens attending summer camp. It's everything you could want in a summer-themed slasher movie, and it went on to produce four sequels.

The Collector (2009)

The Collector is an underrated horror movie from director Marcus Dunstan centering on a deranged killer who delights in setting traps and tormenting his victims. Desperate to get money for his family, a man (Josh Stewart) breaks into a house to steal their valuables, only to discover someone else has got there first and laced the place with deadly booby traps. The sequel film, The Collection, is also streaming on Tubi.
