Nicole Kidman is easily one of the most talented and beloved A-list actresses of our time, with countless accolades and a lengthy (and fascinating) filmography under her belt, it's hard to imagine that there's anything Kidman hasn't done yet. Except, apparently, there is at least one genre she hasn't had the chance to dabble in as much just yet.

During a recent profile piece for the magazine L'Officiel USA, Kidman revealed that she's a big horror fan. She specifically said that she enjoys watching "hardcore horror," even citing the Australian horror flick Talk to Me as a recent favorite of hers.

Throughout her decades in the business, Kidman has starred in plenty of dark dramas, many of them psychological, but the closest she's come to the horror genre is with thrillers like the (excellent) gothic ghost story The Others, Park Chan-wook's Stoker, and The Killing of the Sacred Deer by director Yorgos Lanthimos.

Out of those three, The Others is the most traditional scary story, though the other two titles also contain some horrific moments. But while Kidman doesn't spell it out, it's clear that she's indicating something more in-your-face terrifying, like Talk to Me, or the X trilogy from director Ti West, who Kidman says she's a fan of.

In fact, one of the primary reasons Kidman signed on for DC's Aquaman movie was that she initially believed it was a horror movie and she had wanted to work with James Wan on a horror film, specifically.

" I’ve not done classic horror yet. Hardcore horror. I’m putting it out there, because I watch hardcore horror. I’m a fan of Ti West!"

It sounds like she's looking for something where she can get a little bloody and twisted, maybe an A24 slasher movie or something from Neon. I'd love to see her work with West, or Wan again, for that matter. Anything that puts Kidman in the horror genre would be fantastic, and hopefully, by mentioning her wish, that can come true. Surely, there must be countless horror directors out there chomping at the bit to cast her.

Next up for Kidman, she stars in the murder mystery series The Perfect Couple based on Elin Hilderbrand's novel of the same name. It premieres on Netflix on September 5. Following that, Kidman co-stars with Harris Dickinson in the erotic thriller Babygirl, which A24 is releasing in theaters on December 25.
