Olivia Taylor Dudley and Riley Dandy lead cast of psychological cult thriller Abigail Before Beatrice
A new thriller flick to be on the lookout for is the psychological cult thriller Abigail Before Beatrice. Principal photography on the movie is currently underway in Little Rock, Arkansas, and Olivia Taylor Dudley (The Magicians) and Riley Dandy (That's Amor) lead the cast. More on this film below.
Abigail Before Beatrice is a slow-burn psychological thriller coming from Little Black Dog Entertainment, Nanu Pictures, and Exit 44 Entertainment. It marks the sophomore feature of writer-director Cassie Keet, who previously made her feature debut with the horror comedy flick Scream Therapy. In addition, Benjamin Dunn and Mindy Van Kuren are signed on as producers of the thriller, with New Harvest Creative partly financing the film and Exit 44 Entertainment handling sales.
The movie follows an isolated woman who finds herself having to confront her past when a fellow former cult member reaches out to her with news that their leader has been released from prison early. It's unclear who Dudley and Dandy will be playing in the film, but our guess is that one will be portraying the isolated woman while the other will be playing the former cult member. Besides Dudley and Dandy, no other cast members have been announced yet.
Keet spoke with Deadline and expressed her excitement about getting the opportunity to bring her new project to life.
"I’m so excited and humbled to be filming in my home state. I had dreamt of filming Abigail Before Beatrice in Arkansas from the moment I wrote it, but the ACS Panavision grant made that dream a reality. I love working with our local crew, and I’m so touched by how many people have gone out of their way to donate and discount everything from food to locations to our project. It is my sincere wish that this movie will continue to shine a positive light on the ever-growing film community in Arkansas."

Besides The Magicians, Dudley is also known for starring in the horror films Chernobyl Diaries, The Vatican Tapes, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and She Dies Tomorrow. She also had roles in other TV shows like Aquarius and Nancy Drew. We'll see her next in an upcoming drama film called Canary.
When it comes to Dandy, she's also known for her previous roles in the movies The City of Gold, A Kiss on Candy Cane Lane, A California Christmas: City Lights, Interceptor, Christmas Bloody Christmas, A Hollywood Christmas and Things Will Be Different.
