It's a brand new month, and with it comes new horror content on Peacock. On June 28, the streamer unveiled its complete list of new shows and movies coming to its platform in July 2024, and we couldn't help but notice that many horror films were included.

Most of the horror movies on the list were released on July 1, but we thought we'd share them anyway, just in case you missed them. In addition, we shared two more horror flicks that are slated to be released at the end of the month.

Horror movies released on Peacock on July 1

The Purge (2013)

Cast: Ethan Hawke, Lena Headey, Adelaide Kane, Max Burkholder

The Purge centers around a wealthy family who finds themselves held hostage by a group of criminals during the annual Purge, a night during which all criminal activity, including murder, is legal, and all emergency services are suspended. The official trailer is provided above.

The sci-fi horror film revolves around a biologist and former soldier who, to find out what happened to her missing husband, signs up for a dangerous, secret expedition into a mysterious quarantined zone of mutating plants and animals sealed off by the U.S. government. While there, she encounters strange and terrifying phenomena and finds herself grappling with her own past traumas.

Piranha 3D (2010)

Horror movies coming to Peacock on July 31

The Wailing (2016)

Cast: Kwak Do-won, Hwang Jung-min, Chun Woo-hee, Jun Kunimura

The Wailing takes place in a small rural village in South Korea that's been plagued with a series of mysterious and violent deaths and illnesses following the arrival of a mysterious Japanese man. Officer Jong-Goo is then pulled into the investigation when his own daughter comes down with the strange illness. In order to save her, the policeman must quickly solve the mystery of what's causing the sickness before it's too late.

Burning (2018)

Cast: Yoo Ah-in, Steven Yeun, Jeon Jong-seo

Technically, Burning is a thriller film, but we still added it to the list because we believe it's a movie that horror fans will enjoy. When young aspiring writer Lee Jong-su bumps into a former childhood acquaintance, Shin Hae-mi, he's happy to be reconnected. But when Hae-mi suddenly goes missing, he suspects that her new friend, who has a strange hobby of burning down abandoned greenhouses, has something to do with her disappearance.
