Evil Dead Rise (2023)

Evil Dead Rise is a supernatural horror film and the fifth installment in the iconic Evil Dead movie series. It centers around the reunion of two estranged sisters that goes terribly wrong when flesh-possessing demonic entities start descending on the apartment building they live in. Now, they must band together to try to survive and save their family before it's too late.

Monolith's Lily Sullivan and Vikings' Alyssa Sutherland play the estranged sisters, Beth and Ellie. Joining them in the cast are actors such as Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols, Nell Fisher, Noah Paul, Richard Crouchley, and others.

If you're a person who scares easily, you'll probably be scared while watching Evil Dead Rise. There's a lot of violence and blood, and the way the demons look might frighten you.

The Conjuring (2013)

The Conjuring is the first movie in the commercially successful The Conjuring film franchise. It stars Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson as experienced paranormal investigators who assist a family in getting rid of ancient malevolent force in their farmhouse. Lili Taylor, Ron Livingston, Shanley Caswell, Hayley McFarland, Joey King, and many others are also in the cast.

Some viewers will find this film scary because it's very suspenseful, there are jump scares throughout, and the atmosphere is pretty creepy. Also, it might be more scary for people who actually believe in ghosts and the supernatural.

The Strangers (2008)

Imagine traveling to your family vacation home with your significant other for a relaxing weekend getaway only for your trip to turn into a fight for survival when three masked intruders enter your home and terrorize you. That's what happens to James Hoyt and Kristen McKay in The Strangers. This is the first installment in The Strangers film series, and what makes it so scary is the fact that what happens in this movie could actually happen in real life. In fact, it has happened in real life. It's truly a terrifying and unsettling film.

Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman star in the leading roles of Kristen McKay and James Hoyt. Joining them in the cast are Gemma Ward, Kip Weeks, Laura Margolis, and Glenn Howerton.

Hereditary (2018)

Hereditary is just downright creepy and unsettling, mainly because of the deeply disturbing imagery in the film. I mean, the imagery was so disturbing that it will stick with you after you finish watching the movie. Overall, this film will certainly rattle you, so be prepared!

Sinister (2012)

Sinister stars Ethan Hawke as a struggling true-crime writer, who after finding a box of home movies depicting brutal murders in his new home, releases an evil demonic presence. Now, he must save himself and his family before the sinister supernatural force takes over. Juliet Rylance, Fred Thompson, James Ransone, Clare Foley, and Michael Hall D'Addario also star in the film.

Many people have described Sinister as a cult classic, with some even saying that it's one of the scariest movies of all time, mainly because of the creepy tapes and the fact that it plays on psychological fear.
