Experience one of the country's largest haunts at this year's Six Flags Fright Fest, a terrifying event that will feature 11 haunted houses and nine scare zones!

One of the most notable additions to the 2024 line-up is a haunted maze experience based on the Netflix and Legendary 2022 slasher film Texas Chainsaw Massacre. While the film received mixed reviews from critics and fans, at least one scene in the 2022 film is still discussed to this day—the bus scene, where Leatherface boards a bus and slaughters almost everyone on board.

Based on the newly released photos for the upcoming haunt, it looks like Fright Fest will be recreating its own version of that titular set piece.

Parkgoers will get the chance to navigate the small, creepy town of Harlow, a "forgotten corner of Texas" with plenty of disturbing secrets, a place where Leatherface could be lurking around any corner.

In this maze, visitors are playing the part of Harlow visitors and their arrival drives Leatherface to slaughter. Navigating the area, fans will have the chance to "step into iconic scenes from the film," including the sunflower field, the "crawl of death" and "dead street," and the barn. The maze culminates in a showdown with Leatherface himself.

"We're thrilled to partner with Six Flags for the first-ever haunted maze experience of Netflix's and Legendary's Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022) at this year’s Fright Fest extravaganza. Get ready for an unforgettable, heart-pounding adventure where the scares and thrills won't hold back!" says Amado Trevino, Director of Interactive Media & Experiences at Legendary Entertainment, in a statement.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre isn't the only exciting horror franchise to be featured at the theme park this year. Fright Fest will also feature realms dedicated to Army of the Dead, Stranger Things, Trick 'r Treat, The Conjuring, and the Saw franchise. But it should be noted that these mazes and haunted houses can vary by theme park location, so be sure to check out the website for the park you intend to visit beforehand to ensure the haunt you'd like to visit is being featured there.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre maze opens at Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Texas, starting in early September and running through November 3.
