The Gremlins take over San Francisco in The Wild Batch, premiering this fall

Get ready for more hijinks with Gizmo and his human friends Sam and Elle as they travel from their home in Shanghai to San Francisco in the second season of the Max prequel series Gremlins, subtitled The Wild Batch.

Season 1 voice actors Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong, Izaac Wang, AJ LoCascio, and Gabrielle Nevaeh will return, along with several exciting guest stars to be announced at a later date.

Max shared a fun announcement video revealing the title, Gremlins: The Wild Batch, a follow-up to the 2023 series Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai.

The news comes just one day ahead of the 40th anniversary of the original film from Joe Dante. Gremlins first premiered in theaters on June 8, 1984.

The animated series, produced by Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Animation, features Steven Spielberg as an executive producer.

Expect more Mogwai mayhem and magic in season 2 as we follow Gizmo, Sam, and Elle to the American West on the trail of a new brood of evil Mogwai. Our heroes will face off against new supernatural creatures and meet mysterious new characters on their journey.

Max has not announced the premiere date for Gremlins: The Wild Batch yet, but it will be released sometime this fall. The first season is available to stream on Max, and you can rent or buy the Gremlins movies on demand.
