Warner Bros. is continuing to round out its cast for the upcoming It prequel series Welcome to Derry, set to premiere in 2025.

According to a new report from Deadline, Rudy Mancuso is the latest to join the series. Mancuso started in the entertainment industry, making comedy skits with friends on platforms like YouTube and Vine. Most recently, he made his feature directorial debut with the coming-of-age romantic comedy Música, which he also starred in alongside Camila Mendes.

Deadline previously announced that ten additional faces had been added to the cast, including Kimberly Guerrero, Dorian Grey, Thomas Mitchell, Alixandra Fuchs, BJ Harrison, Shane Marriott, Chad Rook, Joshua Odjick, Peter Outerbridge, and Morningstar Angeline. They join the previously announced cast members Jovan Adepo, Chris Chalk, Taylour Paige, James Remar, and Stephen Rider.

All of them will recur, but the roles are being kept under wrap for now. Little plot information is known about Welcome to Derry thus far, except that it's a prequel, and Bill Skarsgård will return to reprise his role from the films as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Skarsgård is also executive producing.

Another person returning from the films is Chapter One and Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti, who will direct at least four episodes of the initial nine-episode count. The two movies collectively earned more than $1.17 billion worldwide.

Warner Bros. seems to have high hopes for the series. They recently revealed they would be moving it from Max Original status to an official HBO branded series, joining the likes of House of the Dragon, The White Lotus, Euphoria, and Succession.

Welcome to Derry will still stream on Max, but it will also now get a linear airing, likely in a coveted spot. By moving the series to HBO, it becomes appointment viewing and will likely generate more attention as people watch at the same time each week.
