March is set to be another incredible month for horror fans, with a thrilling lineup of new theatrical releases and more horror movies and shows arriving on streaming platforms. While there’s plenty to look forward to, one release stands out as an absolute must-watch. It’s not a new theatrical release, though. In fact, it came out a few years ago, but it’s finally arriving on Netflix next month.
Widely regarded as one of A24’s finest horror films, I’d even go so far as to say it might just be the company’s best horror movie ever. Of course, that’s just my personal opinion, but it’s hard to deny when you look at its impressive box office performance and the overwhelmingly positive reception it received from both critics and audiences. Have you figured out what horror flick I'm talking about? It's none other than the smash-hit supernatural horror Talk to Me, aka A24's highest-grossing horror film.
We always knew it was only a matter of time before this movie made its way to Netflix, as many of A24's recent horror films eventually land on the platform after their theatrical runs. However, it’s not an immediate transition, as A24 has an existing deal with another company before their content reaches Netflix. But now the time has come, and Netflix subscribers will soon be able to experience Talk to Me from the comfort of their own homes on their favorite streamer. The exact release date is Friday, March 28, 2025. It'll likely be released on Netflix at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on this date. That's when Netflix typically releases new content on its platform.

Released in 2022, Talk to Me is an Australian supernatural horror film directed by twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, known online as RackaRacka. Danny co-wrote the script with Bill Hinzman. As their first feature film, the Philippou brothers couldn't have known whether it would be a success, but it quickly proved to be a hit. It managed to bring in an impressive $92.2 million worldwide at the end of its theatrical run, and this was against a budget of $4.5 million. That was a remarkable achievement, especially for a debut film.
Talk to Me stars Sophie Wilde as Mia, a teenage girl still grappling with the loss of her mother who passed away a couple of years prior. Her grief has led to her being distanced from her peers, leaving her with only her best friend Jade and Jade’s younger brother Riley. One day, Mia, Jade, and Riley sneak out to attend a party at a classmate's house. But this is when things get weird.
While parties are typically filled with people drinking, dancing, and enjoying themselves, this one brings something much darker into the mix. Someone pulls out a severed and embalmed hand and claims it has the ability to communicate with spirits from the other side. A game then begins with everyone taking turns using the hand to make contact with the supernatural. But as the game progresses, things start to take a darker turn. What initially felt like an exciting thrill quickly transforms into something far more sinister when one of them takes things too far and accidentally unleashes dangerous and malevolent forces from the other side into their world.
While Wilde gave an outstanding performance in this horror flick, her fellow cast members also delivered strong performances that helped elevate the film. Talented actors such as Alexandra Jensen, Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, Miranda Otto, Zoe Terakes, Chris Alosio, Marcus Johnson, and Alexandria Steffensen also made up the cast.
If you're a fan of dark, intense supernatural horror, Talk to Me will undoubtedly leave you disturbed and on edge. It's the type of film that stays with you long after the credits roll, and you'll find yourself thinking about it when you're least expecting it. For those who’ve already seen it, I'm sure you remember that incredibly unsettling scene with the kid banging his head against... well, you know the one. I still get chills just thinking about it!
Talk to Me arrives on Netflix on March 28. Don't forget to check it out!
