Regina Hall is just as excited about a new Scary Movie coming from the Wayan Brothers as the rest of us! The actress who played Brenda in the first four films of the franchise recently told TVInsider that she's "thrilled at the possibility that the band could get back together again."

She's especially happy that the film is coming directly from Keenen Ivory Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Marlon Wayans, as the trio created, wrote, and directed the first two films in the series, with Marlon and Shawn starring. Hall and Anna Faris were two of the other main characters in the first four films, though they did not return for Scary Movie 5.

Their characters, Brenda and Cindy, are one of the most popular duos from the movie and fans are eager to see them return. Based on Hall's comments, it sounds like she's excited to see what comes of the sixth film and whether or not Brenda has a place "in this new world."

Faris has already made her opinion on the matter clear, previously telling People Magazine that there are two main things she needs to sign on for a sixth film: the return of Regina Hall and money. So, it sounds like if they can get Hall on board, then there's no reason they can't get Faris back, too!

In the meantime, Hall narrates the new A&E true crime special Cold Case Files: The Grim Sleeper about serial killer Lonnie Franklin Jr.

Marlon Wayans announced that a new movie is in the works via his Instagram, noting that it has been almost 20 years since the last one that the original team all worked on together. The fifth Scary Movie, released in 2013, was not produced by the Wayans.
