Shudder and the Boulet Brothers have enjoyed a close relationship over the past few years, and it’s about to get even closer. The horror streaming platform has announced a multi-project deal with the Boulets, whose hit series The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is heading towards its seventh season, after being nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Makeup for a Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Program.

Dracmorda and Swanthula, who were described by Entertainment Weekly as “divinely grotesque” also created The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans and The Boulet Brothers’ Halfway to Halloween TV Special exclusively for Shudder.

The new agreement between Shudder and the Boulets includes season seven for Dragula, a season two renewal for Titans (production began this week), and a brand-new holiday special. The Boulet Brothers’ Holiday of Horrors will include David Dastmalchian (Late Night With the Devil) as co-host.

For the newbies in the crowd, here’s a little breakdown of the Boulet Brothers/Shudder shows:

The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula is a drag competition with a terrifying twist: “Extreme” drag artists from around the globe are chosen to compete for the title of The World’s Next Drag Supermonster. To do so, they must participate in themed challenges that will showcase their makeup, performance, special effects and costume design and creation skills. Each challenge ends with an extermination challenge, which determines who will be leaving that week.

The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula: Titans is similar to its origan series, but features the very best competitors from prior seasons of Dragula.

For The Boulet Brothers’ Holiday of Horrors, Drac, Swan and Dastmalchian will present an anthology series comprised of original holiday tales of horror.

The Boulet Brothers announced: “We’re positively enthralled to extend our unholy alliance with Shudder and AMC+ through this multi-season pact.It ensures the underworld stays wide open for many years to come—welcoming fresh souls, darker tales, and even more monstrous mayhem. We’re especially excited to be writing and directing the Holiday of Horrors anthology special alongside some of our dearest friends and fresh new blood of the horror genre. Together, we’re summoning something truly diabolical—and this is only the beginning of the nightmares to come.”

Likewise, Shudder proclaimed themselves “thrilled” to continue working with the Boulets to present their wholly unique visions to an eager audience.

Season six of Dragula (quickly dubbed “season 666) was a huge hit, with Shudder describing it as the #1 top acquisition driving series of last year. Titans’ premiere episode was one of the highest streamed of any single Dragula episode.

In addition to creating both series, the Boulets also host, direct and executive produce them.
