Spoilers ahead for The Bondsman ending

Well, the finale episode of The Bondsman delivers several shocking moments, so let's get into it.

With Cheryl now possessed by Lilith, there's no way for Hub to avoid telling the truth about what happened to her. His family finds out that he is responsible for murdering her. They're all, understandably, pissed and disappointed. Especially Maryanne.

But there's no time to debate this moral quandary with the apocalypse nigh. Since Midge's job with the Devil wasn't completed when she died, she gets yanked out of Hell again and brought back to finish what they started.

Midge and Hub are on their own, so they plan to trap Lilith in a giant pentagram. Lilith is attracted to music and hates men because of how the other angels treat her. She also has crazy mind control powers that can make people kill themselves in a particularly gruesome way (ripping off their jaws). Hub and Midge rig a huge amplifier to make a demon dog whistle of sorts, putting it in the center of a makeshift pentagram in the woods to lure Lilith to them.

When the trap is sprung, Lilith makes Hub a deal he can't resist in exchange for his freedom. She tells him she can make Cheryl live and set him free. If Cheryl was never murdered, then he wouldn't have gone to Hell, and there's no reason for his family to hate him. It's a deal Hub can't resist taking, even if it does mean letting Lilith go free.

And she does stick to her word, vacating Cheryl's body and bringing her back. Midge is pissed that Hub would selfishly sell out the world like that. Hub thinks they can figure something out. There's always a loophole.

Elsewhere, Sheriff Ruby and the other cops arrest Kitty and Maryanne while they seek out Hub. Lucky tries to convince Maryanne and Cade that he ratted them out to save them, but they still want nothing to do with him. Ruby threatens to arrest Cade if Maryanne doesn't call Hub and lure him from wherever he is. The cops aren't convinced by their tales about the demons and the threat of the apocalypse, instead believing Hub is a satanic serial killer who's brainwashed his family.

When Hub does show up at The Boxcar, it's with a new swagger in his step. He brings Cheryl, and everyone is shocked to see her alive, especially Lucky. The cops still put Hub in handcuffs, but nothing can dampen his spirits...yet.

Maryanne enters the dressing room to deal with the shock of everything, and that's when we find out the twist in Lilith's plan. She finds a new host in Maryanne, which makes sense, considering she's a singer. And the first thing Lilith does in Maryanne's body is make Lucky kill himself by ripping off his lower jaw. Good riddance, I say.

Then she walks out and mind-controls everyone in the crowd to put their hands on their face, suggesting to Hub that she will kill everyone in the club, including Cade, if he doesn't start serving the Lilith-possessed Maryanne.

That's where the show leaves off, setting us up with a very interesting premise for a potential second season!
