After killing Andrew to prove his loyalty to Rick’s group, Oscar became a beloved character of the series. His affinity for slippers only made him more entertaining. Still, the odds weren’t good for him heading to Woodbury with Daryl, Michonne, and Rick. And so it’s no surprise that this would happen.

While saving Glenn and Maggie in Woodbury, one of the Governor’s men manages to shoot Oscar. Rick gets revenge by killing the soldier moments later, but it’s too late. Hit in the chest, Oscar dies from the gunshot wound. Maggie then puts another bullet in his head to prevent him from turning.
