Last Words: “Hey! Help me! I’m begging you, don’t leave! Please! Hey! I’m okay! Please! Please! No!”

Though he wasn’t given a name on the show and served such a small part in the grand scheme of things, the hitchhiker Rick refuses to pick up is still one of the more interesting characters. Who exactly is this guy? Could he have been a help to the group? Or would have picking him up been a mistake?

Unfortunately, we will never know. First, Rick, Michonne, and Carl don’t pick him up despite his please for them to stop. They visit Morgan and end up leaving with a ton of guns, and also Rick seems to have taken note of how crazy Morgan has gotten. It has started to restore some of his sanity, seemingly, and maybe they’d have picked up the hitchhiker on the way back to the prison.

That wouldn’t be an option, though. By the time they roll back around, the hitchhiker’s body is shown shredded to pieces. Exhausted, the walkers had finally caught up to the poor guy. But the crew takes his orange backpack so at least something comes out of it.
