When Rick and the Governor have a meeting to discuss a truce, Rick is offered a deal. If he delivers Michonne to the Governor, then there will be peace between Woodbury and the prison. If not, then they will surely go to war.

Back at the prison, Rick struggles with the idea, but is ultimately unable to do it. However, he mentioned it to Merle, who decides to take the matter into his own hands. Merle captures Michonne and starts heading to the meeting place, only to have a change of heart. Turns out, he’s going to try to take out the Governor instead.

Merle manages to kill many Woodbury soldiers, but is unable to stop the Governor. After a fight, the Governor shoots Merle in the chest, leaving him to turn. Later, Daryl finds the zombified version of his brother and puts him down.
