Andrea and Michonne witness a helicopter crashing in the woods. However, by the time they arrive, the Governor and his men located the crash site as well. Everyone had perished in the crash of the military chopper except for one man, Lieutenant Welles, who tells the Governor where the rest of his group is located. This is done after the Governor promises to bring them back safely.

Driving up in a vehicle with a white flag waving, the Governor locates the group, led by Brady, telling them he comes in peace. They believe him after he brings up the name Welles, revealing that Welles told them where they would be. At first, it seems like the guardsmen have gotten a lucky break.

Of course, that’s not really the case. The Governor shoots Brady before beating him to death with the butt end of a rifle. All of the nearby guardsmen are also gunned down by the Governor and his men, leaving the entire group dead so the Governor can take their supplies.
