The Walking Dead Graveyard: Season 3 Character Deaths
T-Dog
Name: Theodore “T-Dog” Douglas
Episode Introduced: Guts (Season 1, Episode 2)
Episode Died: Killer Within (Season 3, Episode 4)
Last Words: “No, we’re close! We’re close! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go, I’m dead!”
From what we know about T-Dog, the guy was always willing to do whatever he could to help others. Back when the outbreak began, T-Dog was said to be driving the church vans around to help transport survivors. At some point he became a part of Shane’s group shortly before Rick joined them and took over.
T-Dog was not used to his full potential, as the writers kept him in the background throughout much of Season 2. Despite this, he was a fan favorite character at the time, with fans wanting to explore his story a little more. The showrunner at the time, Glen Mazzara, hinted that big things were coming for the character in Season 3.
Mazzara apparently changed his mind on that, as T-Dog wound up being unceremoniously killed off in the fourth episode. After walkers start flooding into the prison, T-Dog is bitten while trying to secure a fence to prevent more from getting inside. Soon after, he sacrifices himself by letting walkers feed on him, giving Carol a chance to escape and survive.
