Bio: There were more than two named victims to perish in the fish fry attack. Jacqui discovers a bite on Jim’s body and quickly tells the others. As everyone knows that the bite is a death sentence by this point, they realize the end of Jim’s life has begun. Daryl Dixon nearly kills him on the spot, before the group decides to let him live out the remainder of his life.

The group is heading to the CDC. Rick is hopeful that there may be a cure there, and if they can get Jim to the CDC, he could be saved. Unfortunately, the bumpy ride proves to be much too painful for Jim. He realizes he’s not going to make it, even if that’s harder for some of the others to accept.

Jim is offered the chance to kill himself quickly and painlessly with a gun. However, he wants to reanimate. Before joining the group, he had witnessed his family being killed by the walkers. Now, he wants to be with them again. So he tells the group to leave him sitting against a tree where he can expire and become one of the walkers. The somber survivors drive away as Jim awaits his fate, sitting by the tree.
