Universal Orlando Resort is gearing up for the opening of their newest venture, Universal Epic Universe Theme Park. Horror movie fans are most excited about the Dark Universe section, which places its focus on monsters, including such classics as Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
Ahead of the grand opening in May, Universal has released images and info regarding their exclusive merchandise for each section of the park. Obviously, we are going to be looking at the Dark Universe merchandise that will be available.
There are more than 20 immersive retail shops throughout the park, selling apparel, collectibles, handbags and backpacks, jewelry and more.
Justin Lafoe, who is Global Parks Merchandise and Retail Officer of Universal Destinations and Experiences said the in-depth immersive sections of Epic Universe gave his team the “dream opportunity” to design brand-new equally immersive merchandise. All merchandise is designed specifically to delight and enthrall super-fans of all ages. Lafoe said, “We are thrilled to bring fan-favorite worlds to life and give guests the chance to bring home a piece of their adventures with them.”
Pop into the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, where you can purchase fantastic face paint. Then pay a visit to Prestorius’s Scientific Oddities to browse through their elaborate collection of cosplay. Universal Orlando will release more details soon about how visitors “can choose their destiny and transform into their favorite Universal Monster.”
Check out the adorably creepy Bitty Monsters collection, which includes clothing, headwear, plush figures and collectibles.
There are also exclusive brand new collections tied in to Frankenstein Manor, which is ground zero for Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, The Burning Blade Tavern, Dr. Pretorius and Curse of the Werewolf. You can make merchandise purchases at Pretorius’s Scientific Oddities, or The Manor Storehouse and Guild of Mystics retail shops.
When will guests be able to visit Dark Universe at Universal’s Epic Universe?
The new theme park will be open to guests beginning May 22, 2025. A one day, one park ticket starts at $139.95, but there are other packages available, including multi-day and multi-park options. You can purchase tickets or read more information about Epic Universe on the website.
Universal will be making Express Passes, VIP Tours and additional add-on experiences available soon as well.
The other immersive sections of the park include The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, Super Nintendo World and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.
