Our favorite monster hunter is back! Netflix has released the official trailer for the upcoming animated film The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, and boy, it is nice to hear Doug Cockle voicing Geralt again! For those unaware, Cockle voiced Geralt in all three of The Witcher video games.

Releasing on February 11, 2025, Sirens of the Deep is based on Witcher creator Andrzej Sapkowski's short story "A Little Sacrifice," included in his Sword of Destiny collection. Sapkowski actually served as a creative consultant for the film to help expand the story for a full movie and flesh out the merpeople lore.

Watch the full trailer below:

Geralt of Rivia has been hired to investigate a series of attacks on divers in a small village by the sea. During his investigation, Geralt "finds himself drawn into a centuries-old conflict between humans and merpeople." He'll have to work alongside his friends and the townsfolk to balance the scales between these two kingdoms, lest things "escalate into all-out war."

The trailer gives us a better look at the merpeople and their underwater kingdom, along with some of the monsters Geralt will be fighting, including what appears to be a Kraken. Jaskier joins him on this hunt, alongside a newcomer named Essi Daven (Christina Wren). In the short story, Essi is an old friend of Jaskier's, which I assume will be the same here.

Yennefer is also featured in the trailer, though I'm guessing her scenes will be flashbacks because she wasn't featured in the story. But Anya Chalotra did reprise her role as the sorceress for the film! The actress has previously expressed her love of voice acting and doing more lately. She's also the voice of Circe in the DC animated series Creature Commandos.

This film was co-written by Rae Benjamin and Mike Ostrowski and directed by Kang Hei Chul. Sirens of the Deep marks the second animated Witcher movie on Netflix, following Nightmare of the Wolf.

Besides the new animated film, we should also be getting a new season of Netflix's live-action series, The Witcher, later this year. The fourth season will officially introduce Liam Hemsworth as Geralt, as the actor took over for Henry Cavill after he departed the show.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep will be released on Netflix on February 11, 2025. Set a reminder on Netflix and check out the rest of The Witcher universe here.
