1428 Elm’s Best Horror Villains

Pamela Voorhees (Friday the 13th)

While her son clearly gets all the credit for the success of the Friday the 13th film franchise, we can’t cut Pamela Voorhees short.  The first Friday film is definitely one of the best ones, with several creative deaths (including an arrow through Kevin Bacon’s throat).

Although her identity as the killer wasn’t revealed until the end of the movie, her explanation and demeanor were just as creepy as the death scenes that led up to it.

Although the character was never seen alive again after the first movie, she remains nearly as iconic as her son Jason, thanks to an incredible performance by Betsy Palmer.
