‘Supernatural’: Is Amara TOO Powerful to Stop?

Amara, the dark sister of God, is one powerful being in the world of ‘Supernatural.’ We’ve seen her do some pretty terrifying and malicious things in the past. We know she’s a powerful entity, but is she TOO powerful for the Winchester brothers to stop?

The following contains minor spoilers for the 11th Season of The CW’s ‘Supernatural’. You’ll be fine to read, but I wouldn’t if you don’t want last week’s penultimate episode ruined.

With the 11th Season finale of The CW’s Supernatural premiering tonight, and the events of last week’s suspenseful jaw-dropper, We Happy Few, still on everyone’s mind, I figured it the perfect time to ask a question I’ve been pondering all week.

Since appearing on the Supernatural scene, Amara, the dark sister of God who spent years locked away in captivity, has shown she’s not one to be messed with. Amara has shown herself to be one powerful cookie, but is she TOO Powerful?

She’s mind-manipulated Dean Winchester (and avoided death when he struck like a mad swordsman), she’s unleashed a fog that almost killed Sam (not to mention vanished a few towns entire population), she’s killed Metatron with the ease of a kid unwrapping a tootsie roll, she’s killed an entire table of witches, she very well may have killed her nephew, Lucifer, and if that wasn’t enough, she pushed God closer to death than anyone in history has.

I don’t know what you Horror Heads think, but for my money, I’m betting against the Winchester brothers. Call me crazy, but I just don’t know if they have what it takes to rid the world of a being like Amara. She may, in fact, be the last stop on the Winchester express. Sorry boys, but this Supernatural train may be a stoppin’ for good.

They’ve never went up against a force like Amara. They’ve never witnessed power quite like what Amara possesses. She could kill the two mortals before the Winchesters even knew they were dead. If she wanted to, she could have them eating from her hand, subsequently snap their necks when she was done playing.

Sure, these boys have done their fair share of ass kicking in the past. They’ve wrestled with werewolves, zombies, vampires-basically any ghoul or aberration you can think of- but Amara is something else entirely. She is the big bad to end all big bads and she looks to be taking no prisoners.

Then again, The Winchester duo has been in some predicaments before and came out unscathed on the other side. The brother version of Scully and Mulder have been far down the path of adversity and lived to tell about it. They’ve starred down the face of death, and came out the other end alive. So they may, in fact, stand a chance.

With the good guys even in shorter supply after the end of We Happy Few, it’s hard to imagine Sam and Dean Winchester, along with what’s left of God, stopping the darkness that is the all-mighty Amara. But crazier things have happened.

So, Will Amara be too powerful for the boys to stop? Will she end existence as we know it? You’ll have to wait until tonight’s Supernatural finale, Alpha and Omega Fright Fans.
