‘Ash vs Evil Dead’: Bruce Campbell says Ash is getting a daughter next season
By Joey Click
Appearing on the red carpet of the recent Saturn Awards, ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ star Bruce Campbell is dishing huge details on the third season of the Starz series.
Deadites, Ash vs Evil Dead is getting really sinister.
According to Bloody-Disgusting, Ash Williams’ family is getting bigger. After fighting the undead for years, Ash is getting a daughter in the next season of Ash vs Evil Dead. The news comes from Bruce Campbell himself after being interviewed at the recent Saturn Awards.
Here’s what Campbell says about the inclusion of Ash’s daughter in a red carpet question from Dawn Bourn:
"“Wait until you see Season 3, baby. Off the charts. We’re jumping off a cliff at the end. It’ll never be the same… the world will never be the same at the end of this season. There’s some big shit that happens. Ash’s daughter. Ash has a child. And she’s in trouble. She’s a target. Ya know, the demons are like the mafia… will go after your family. So he has to not only save the world – he has to raise a daughter. A teenager… an unruly teenager.”"
After Bourn asks Campbell about the “two teenagers you’ve got hanging out with you“, hinting at Kelly and Pablo, the horror legend responses with:
"“No, they’re the adults now. So there’s some really cool stuff coming.”"

We certainly weren’t expecting this.
What’s most interesting is it’s looking like the daughter isn’t Kelly. In a now infamous story, Kelly was originally going to be Ash’s daughter at the end of Season 2. But before the scenes were shot, Producer Rob Tapert, who produced the original Evil Dead, changed the plan. And honestly, I’m glad he didn’t. I always thought it came off too heavy in exposition and ultimately lame.
A day after asking Starz about the status of Ash vs Evil Dead , we’re at least getting something. Sure, we still don’t have a premiere date, but this is something the hold us over until the show comes back. We’re just praying its still around Halloween. You hear up Starz?
Ash vs Evil Dead stars Bruce Campbell, Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo. The series creators are Ivan Raimi, Sam Raimi and Tom Spezialy. Renaissance Pictures produces alongside Starz, with the cable channel distributing.
