After reporting stunning sales of ‘Friday the 13th: The Game’, Gun Media’s Wes Keltner is revealing where those profits are going. Crystal Lake is getting bigger.

Friday the 13th: The Game is about to get a whole lot better.

According to Games Industry, the recent “Jason Voorhees” game is about to see some renovations. Recently, Gun Media, developers of the slasher game, began reporting insane sales numbers. After debuting last May, Friday the 13th: The Game’s sales are already over 1.8M units. And now, the company is revealing where some of the money is going.

Here’s what Wes Keltner, founder of Gun Media, is saying about the company’s plans for the future:

"The total we spent creating this game, would only cover half the animation budget for AAA games. But we made the most with what we had. As for being profitable, we were in the black quickly. However, we have reinvested that profit directly back into F13 in the form of new content (maps, characters, etc) and our ongoing server costs.”"

With so much bread on the Friday the 13th game plate, it’s good to know we have bloody food to look forward to.

While the horror hit is raking in the cash, it’s comforting knowing its being put back into the game. With so much Friday the 13th lore to explore, there’s much to create going forward. A Manhattan/SS Lazarus map perhaps? Maybe a Camp Forest Green alternate map? Or Pinehurst Halfway House DLC pack with Roy “Jason” included. What they’re planning, I’m not sure, but I have money waiting.
