Bruce Campbell: From B movies to New York Times Best Selling author
Big news for Bruce Campbell, he has become a New York Times Best Selling Author again! “Hail to the Chin” is at number eight on the list with a bullet.
Reading is groovy!
Act Three Mode
In between his duties on Ash vs Evil Dead, touring the Comic Con circuit and occasional indie film appearances, Bruce Campbell wrote a third book. “Hail to the Chin: Further Confessions of a B Movie Actor” hit retail shelves on Aug. 15 and shows no signs of slowing down.
Campbell’s memoirs on his life as king of the B movies picks up right where “If Chins Could Kill” left off. The current book is a treatise on an actor in the middle years of his life and career. By no means is the Groovy One whittling in a rocking chair on his porch in Oregon anytime soon. What is looming on his horizon is a career as a best-selling author.
Fifteen years ago, he dipped his toe into the literary pool at the encouragement and urging of a young publishing nerd named John Hodgman. Thank the stars for Mr. Hodgman — he certainly had great instincts.

Fast forward to 2017 and it is happening again. Bruce Campbell finds himself on the New York Times Best Seller List at number eight. Not only are his fans lining up to purchase the book at the brick and mortars but they are buying their copies online too.
At the heart of it is their unending admiration and adoration for a man who they affectionately refer to as “The Chin.” They championed him from the beginning when he was a young, inexperienced actor in the original Evil Dead and have stuck by him through his portrayal of the older Ash Williams in the current Starz series, Ash vs Evil Dead.
Never one to shy away from his fan base, Campbell has taken to the road and in his words, “kissing hands and shaking babies,” all over the US on his “Hail to the Chin” book tour. Those people who have paid to see him on the silver screen and watched him in the comfort of their homes can now see him in person.
It helps that Bruce is an engaging storyteller — he truly has a way with words. When you read “Hail to the Chin”, you feel as if he is telling you these anecdotes personally. Once you crack open this book, you won’t be able to put it down. It is a page turner.
Turning the Page
