As the boyfriend of Rachel Carruthers, Brady’s life is pretty great. He’s good looking, popular and has a solid girlfriend with a good head on her shoulders. Only, when Michael Myers come back to finish what he started Brady must decide what kind of man he truly is.
Before I get to my main point, I want to make two things clear. Yes, he did cheat on Rachel with Kelly Meeker. And yes, Brady does try to leave when things begin to get crazy. But he’s a high school kid — I was terrible at 17.
What’s most important is he sacrifices his life when push comes to shove. As Michael makes his way into the Meeker house, he eventually finds a distraught Rachel and Jamie. Brady, almost certainly knowing he’s going to die, jumps in to buy the two some time. I don’t know about you, but that’s the ultimate selfless thing to do.
