Yesterday, STARZ dropped a featurette on Twitter and Facebook with a behind the scenes look at the cast and their takes on the upcoming season. Fans hold on to your seats! This year will leave you breathless!

“Legends are not born. They’re made.” – Ricky Pierce

Winds of Change

Right from the start, this Ash vs Evil Dead featurette goes for the jugular. The opening shot is Ash (Bruce Campbell) rolling up in a tank and screaming, “Hey, Big Boy! You lookin’ for me?” You know some heavy s*** is about to go down and it may not be good.

Then again, we have been hearing for months from the cast that this season is a game changer. Not everyone may make it out alive and after Episode 10, Elk Grove will never be the same. The catalyst for the story arcs is none other than Lucy Lawless’ character, Ruby.

Evil comes in many flavors and let’s just say that her flavor is vanilla. Or at least she wants everyone to believe that. The demonic priestess is in hiding, so to speak, masquerading as a guidance counselor.

More from Horror on TV

That is a truly frightening idea. Ruby in charge of impressionable young minds like Ash’s daughter, Brandy (Arielle Carver-O’Neill) sounds like a nightmare. Yes, for those of you that didn’t get the memo, our chainsaw handed hero has progeny.

The result of too much whiskey and as Ash would say, “a Branson minute.” Apparently in the aughts, he had a sweet time in the backseat of the Classic. We also have another newcomer to the Ghostbeaters, Dalton (Lindsay Farris).

A knight of Sumeria, he and Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) have formed an alliance and now that dynamic is threatening her relationship with Pablito (Ray Santiago). The buzz word for the series is “epic.” That is very apropos.

Each character is on a journey. Pablo is becoming the hero he never knew he could be, Kelly is transforming into a warrior, Dalton is proving his heritage, Brandy is trying to develop a relationship with Ash and Ash is realizing his destiny as a hero.

The Final Countdown

Sunday, February 25 at 9 p.m. on STARZ marks the premiere of Season 3. This has been a long time coming for fans of the show. After watching the cast talking about the series and seeing some new footage, they will not be disappointed.

I have to agree with Bruce, “This season you really won’t see anything like it.” Lindsay also calls it when he says, “There is a thrill around every corner.”

You can watch the featurette in the tweet below.

But I think Campbell nails it with this quote, “It’s a super hero show without the hero. Without the super.”
