It’s Tough to Say Goodbye

Ash vs Evil Dead ended its three-season run on STARZ on Apr. 29. Two weeks later, the cancellation is starting to sink in. Last week in New Zealand there was a sale of iconic show items.

Various departments from art to wardrobe had numerous articles for purchase from the Mad Max Delta to a plethora of clothing. Buyers were able to go inside the studio/warehouse where the series was filmed to make offers.

Of course, since Elk Grove was an unusual place, there were some interesting pieces available to fans that attended the sale. Remember episode 2 of this year, Booth Three? Well, you could actually pony up for pseudo Ash “man sauce.” Imagine explaining that purchase to someone.

Ever wonder what it would be like to have the local cemetery sign hanging in your house? Or perhaps you really dug those skull trees and totem poles that populated Brujo’s nether realm. What about Ash’s trailer? That might make a great “man cave” or “she shed” in the backyard for some critical “me” time.

There was even a Jager machine. Admittedly, that was intriguing for obvious reasons. One item in particular caught my eye though. A.J. Murtagh was fortunate enough to have purchased a replica of the porch swing from the original cabin.

Admittedly, I wish I could have purchased this sweet ride. I mean, how awesome would it be to Shatner power slide up to the curb in the Mad Max Delta? I would be so totally into that.

Maybe in the future there will be another chance for fans to own pieces of television history. Until then, my fingers will be crossed.
