More from American Horror Story

While this is happening in Boston, back in Los Angeles, Violet is being incredibly rude to her mother. She figured out Vivian was pregnant before she could tell Violet. She rattles off a litany of rude things, in the midst of reading Albert Camus’ The Stranger  (which I find sort of hilarious because I can’t imagine any high school student I know at this time who would choose to read this, I didn’t read it until college myself). She ends the tirade by yelling “I think you’re weak”.

The mother and daughter relegate themselves to separate corners of the house. The doorbell rings. Vivian looks through the peephole and sees a young woman standing outside the door with blood on her forehead. I’ll give you one guess as to what the young woman says…….

“Excuse me, ma’am. I don’t want to bother you, but I’m hurt and in need of some help”

Vivian is too smart for that. She won’t answer the door and the girl starts banging on it. Violet runs downstairs and Vivian tells her to get her cell phone. It’s missing. Somehow, three people with weird black masks get in, and tie Vivian and Violet to chairs in the music room. The trio is out to re-enact the murder of R. Franklin. Fiona (Azura Skye; The Salton Sea), who appears to be the ringleader of this whole production, procured the ashtray which R. Franklin bashed Maria’s head, off eBay, because where else would you find something like that? Maybe Craigslist, but moving on.

Violet runs into Tate in the house. He tells her to get the killers to the basement. She is chosen by Fiona to have the same fate as Gladys, who was drowned in a bathtub. The other girl in this group is—SURPRISE—Bianca, Ben’s patient from earlier. She eats one of the cupcakes that Constance made for Violet.

She comes into the bathroom and says “Fiona, something’s wrong, I think I’m about to sh*t myself.”

“Not in the staging area!” Fiona screams.

This is one of my favorite scenes in this episode for some reason. Meanwhile on the ground floor, the male figure in the trio of would be murderers is trying to get Vivian to put on a nurse’s uniform. She ends up being able to subdue him with the very same ashtray they got as a token of respect for R. Franklin. Fiona goes down to the basement once Violet convinces her it’s the wrong bathtub. She is met by Tate, and the very same Maria and Gladys we were introduced to in the beginning of the episode. Tate then goes upstairs and hacks at Bianca’s stomach, which explains why she had the recurring dream.

This is the first moment where we are confronted with actual ghosts. But only us as in the audience. The Harmon’s still, as of yet, have no clue what is happening in their home. At the end of the episode, Vivian announces to Ben that they are selling the “Murder House”. It also might be a good idea to mention that Ben left Hayden in the middle of her procedure.

The episode ends with Tate, Constance, and Moira down in the basement in front of two dead bodies.

“We’ve gotta get rid of the bodies if you want him to keep treating me”, Tate says to the group. OH WOW! So, Tate is Tate Langdon, son of Constance Langdon, but why did she tell Vivian earlier in the episode that she lost her son to other things? Hmm. Most of you reading this know the answer to that, but it’s always fun to witness the build-up again.

Something that really hits me with this episode in regards to the new season is a line that Ben says to Vivian before he goes on his trip to Boston, in regards to Vivian’s pregnancy and her worries surrounding it.

” This baby is why we moved here. It’s our salvation”

In a way, these words sum up the end of the season in a manner of speaking, but I’m wondering if that these words could be an allusion to something that might happen in the new crossover season. We shall see soon enough.
