Chicago Flashback Weekend is bringing back a fan favorite. Cerina Vincent will be a part of the con when it takes over the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, IL Aug. 2 – 4.
Per a post on their FaceBook group, Chicago Flashback Weekend has added Cerina Vincent to their 2019 line-up.
For horror fans, Cerina Vincent is best known for her role as Marcy in Eli Roth’s 2002 directorial debut, Cabin Fever. The film subtly combined elements of Evil Dead, The Hills Have Eyes, Friday the 13th, and George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead into an original horror comedy.
The plot revolved around a group of kids who came to party at a remote cabin. Sounds like fun. It was fun until the whole flesh eating virus, accidental hermit shootings, and ravenous dog attack stuff started.
Cerina Vincent had one of the goriest death scenes in the movie. After she learned that you shouldn’t shave your legs when you have a flesh eating virus, she was chased by Dr. Mambo, a dog that sees red like Darth Vader, the Predator, and the Kandarian Demon from the Evil Dead. Poor Rider Strong finds pieces of Marcy after the carnage happens. Boy, meet world.
Vincent has also had roles in Not Another Teen Movie, Return to House on Haunted Hill, and Everybody Wants to be Italian. And, for 45 episodes, Cerina Vincent played the role of Maya, aka the Yellow Galaxy Ranger, on Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy.

She joins recent additions Lance Henriksen and Night of the Creeps stars Tom Atkins, Jason Lively, Jill Whitlow, and Stephen Marshall in an already stacked line-up of celebrity guests.
And the list of horror royalty just gets better from there. Heather Langenkamp and Robert Englund from A Nightmare on Elm Street join Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Ted Raimi from the Evil Dead franchise at the con. Tony Todd and Virginia Madsen from Candyman will also be in attendance. Todd will even be in costume for some photo-ops. Plus Melinda Clarke and Alicia Witt will also be signing autographs and meeting fans. Chicago is looking like the place to be for horror fans in early August.
Discount hotel accommodations are available at the Crown Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois. Check with the hotel. Word on the street is that the number of available rooms may be running low. There is a free shuttle service to and from O’Hare Airport.
One of the newest additions to Flashback Weekend is the Murray Brothers Caddyshack Restaurant located within the hotel. It’s owned and run by Bill Murray and his brothers. It’s named and themed after the iconic 1980 comedy Caddyshack. They offer a special horror themed menu during the con.
Tickets and VIP packages should be on sale soon. Check back with Flashback Weekend Chicago Horror Con over the coming months. This is going to be a good one.
