The Walking Dead’s new spin-off nabs a former Scream star
Nico Tortorella has joined the still-untitled new spin-off of The Walking Dead, luckily, a description of their character has been revealed.
The Walking Dead keeps expanding because believe it or not, there are still a lot of stories to tell from this post-apocalyptic world. An untitled second spinoff series is now in development, and details are slowly but surely starting to emerge as more actors join the fun. The newest member of the Walking Dead family is Nico Tortorella.
Tortorella is no stranger to horror and suspense, having appeared in Scream 4 and serial killer series, The Following. However, they might be best known for their role as Josh in the TVLand series, Younger. Now, Tortorella is about to enter a whole new realm, one where survival is a constant concern, and zombies are everywhere.

Deadline reports that Nico Tortorella has joined the cast of the upcoming third series of The Walking Dead, which will follow the first generation of children that grew up in this post-apocalyptic world.
These kids (or more like teenagers?) know how to survive, but they were raised in a safe environment, and the outside world is everything but safe.
As you can see, details on this new series are a mystery. But at least there’s a brief description of Tortorella’s character. They will portray Felix, an honorable man who “isn’t afraid to fight for other’s safety and acceptance.” In all honesty, it sounds pretty much like Tortorella off-screen – and that’s amazing.
Could Felix be the leader of this new group? Perhaps Felix will be the one to lead the group to a safer place (what happened to their “world of safety”?!).
Will he do everything in his power to make sure everyone is ok wherever they go and whatever they do? The keyword here is “acceptance,” which makes me think this new series will be more about inclusion, and I’m all for it.
This untitled series, starring Nico Tortorella, Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Annet Mahendru and Aliyah Royale, will premiere in 2020 and will have ten episodes. Hopefully, more details will come to light soon.
