It’s almost Halloween season which means it’s time to stock up on plenty of DVDs and Blu-rays to get yourself in the horror mood. Tons of great new content is hitting the shelves in September including new releases like Child’s Play and Ma. Plus don’t miss out on new seasons of American Horror Story and Supernatural!
American Horror Story: Apocalypse
- Available: DVD on September 24
Season eight of American Horror Story served as something of a crossover between the first season’s Murder House and the third season’s Coven. In the aftermath of a nuclear apocalypse, the world’s elite survives in secure outposts. These outposts were created by a group known as the Cooperative. But the arrival of Michael Langdon throws everything into chaos and a battle between good and evil brews.
Child’s Play
- Available: Digitally on September 10, DVD & Blu-ray on September 24
The latest installment in the cult-favorite Child’s Play franchise stars Aubrey Plaza in a dark new role. She buys her son a Buddi doll, the hottest new toy of the year. But then things go wrong with the toy’s mainframe and Chucky emerges to wreak new havoc and terrorize his owners.

Nightmare Cinema

Nightmare Cinema is a sci-fi horror collection that should appease dark fantasy and gore lovers. It contains five different vignettes, all taking place within a haunted movie theater. You’ll witness the twisted Projectionist character force, five people, to face their darkest fears.
Supernatural: Season 14
- Available: DVD on September 10
The Winchesters return in season fourteen as they combat the terrifying apocalypse world, a place where they were never born. This season also has Sam and Dean doing their best to raise Lucifer’s son, Jack and save their mother, Mary Winchester. This season also includes the historic 300th episode.

The Wind

Lizzy Macklin and her husband Isaac live alone on an isolated ranch. One day, Isaac meets a couple who moved into a cabin nearby. But they begin to notice the couple act strangely. The winds begin to cause Lizzy to have hallucinations and she develops an unhealthy obsession with demons. Soon her tether to reality begins to unravel along with her mind.
