AHS 1984 star Billie Lourd claims new season is the goriest yet
By Mads Lennon
Billie Lourd recently spoke with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show about her role in the upcoming Season 9 of American Horror Story.
Billie Lourd appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon a couple of nights ago to tease her upcoming appearance in season nine of American Horror Story.
The ninth season of the hit horror anthology will be all about paying homage to the golden age of slasher films. The new season is accurately called American Horror Story: 1984 with the titular slasher being named Mr. Jingles.
It looks like Billie’s character will be one of the camp counselors as Lourd states on the show. She was excited to work alongside actors like Leslie Grossman, Matthew Morrison, and Gus Kenworthy.

But when Fallon asked her about the rumors this season would be “gorier than ever,” Lourd enthusiastically agreed.
“This one is even gorier than it ever has been before, so I need to sing ‘Africa’ literally every day all day because it’s terrifying constantly.”
Lourd claims “Africa” by Toto is the perfect song to sing for those days when you wind up bloody and crying under a boat (may or may not be a spoiler).
She also hopes that her outfit this season inspires Halloween costumes. Lourd claims that whenever she gets in the make-up chair, her goal is to look as absurd as possible, so it catches on. ‘Tis the season, after all!
AHS: 1984 will look quite different from previous seasons of the series because it will be missing two key players. Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are not returning this year.
Although Paulson recently spoke with Out Magazine about potentially appearing this season in a cameo appearance she teased, “you never know, I may pop up. You never know. No promises, though.”
In addition to Lourd, Grossman, Morrison, and Kenworthy, this season will also star Emma Roberts, Cody Fern, Angelica Ross, John Caroll Lynch, Zach Villa, and DeRon Horton.
