Dan Aykroyd and Ivan Reitman attended Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. The duo got nostalgic as they walked through the Ghostbusters themed maze.

Dan Aykroyd and Ivan Reitman recently attended Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios to walkthrough the Ghostbusters themed maze. It is hard to believe that the original film hit theaters 35 years ago. For those of us who saw it on the big screen it was delightful from start to finish.

Now, we have Ghostbusters 2020 to look forward to which is directed by Ivan Reitman’s son, Jason and will be a continuation of the last two installments in the franchise. Both Aykroyd and Reitman dropped hints as to what the secretive storyline is all about while they walked the red carpet.

We know it is going to focus on the next generation of ghost hunters and that Paul Rudd is going to be playing a seismologist who is called in to the small town where Carrie Coon and her children played by Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace reside. Apparently, there is quite a bit of earthquake activity which sounds like a potential portal might be opening up to release evil spirits.

While both Dan and Ivan are looking forward to the future of the franchise, they were also feeling rather nostalgic as they prepared to enter the HHN maze. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Aykroyd was keen on checking out how the theme park dealt with recreating the Stay Puft marshmallow man.

Another scene that the duo was impressed with was the apparition in the library. When Slimer popped up out of nowhere, Dan and Ivan were startled and then they started laughing about the surprise encounter with their old, green friend.

For those of you that wish to attend on the west coast, you can purchase tickets on the HHN website. If you live on the east coast, have no fear, you can also attend the attraction at the Universal Studios location in Orlando.
