Friday the 13th documentary Hearts of Darkness launches official Indiegogo campaign

How did you feel about Jason Goes to Hell? Love it or hate it, Hearts of Darkness will explore the making of in full! The doc has launched an Indiegogo campaign.

Are you a massive fan of Friday the 13th? If so, you might have heard about Hearts of Darkness: The Making of the Final Friday. The documentary feature, produced by Skeleton Crew Productions is officially launching an Indiegogo campaign just in time for Halloween!

The documentary will take a look at the making-of Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. Interviews will be conducted by Peter M. Bracke, author of Crystal Lake Memories, and Edwin Samuelson.

Jason Goes to Hell is one of the most controversial entries in the Friday the 13th franchise. It was the ninth movie overall and followed Jason taking over the coroner’s body after an FBI detonation exploded his own. Kane Hodder portrays Jason in this film.

Some fans weren’t happy with the introduction of supernatural elements or the fact Jason himself is not a central character in the movie.

The director and writer of Jason Goes to Hell, Adam Marcus, will participate in the documentary as a producer and as an interview subject.

The tell-all doc will also include Julie Michaels, Michael B. Silver, Steven Williams, Rusty Schwimmer, John D., Kane Hodder, and more.

If you’re wondering what kind of details the movie will contain, don’t fret, Adam Marcus ensures the film will take a look at the “warts and all” of this movie. Considering how polarizing it is to the franchise’s biggest fans, there is a lot of stories to tell behind the conception of Jason Goes to Hell.

The filmmakers are hoping to raise $50,000 to make the film a reality. The funding goes towards filming with many of the awesome cast and crew and the post-production.

There are 13 perks for supporters, including behind-the-scenes updates, DVDs, Blu-rays, signed memorabilia, and limited edition props. You can also get a handmade hockey mask created exclusively for you by a top SFX designer, producer credit, and even an exclusive invitation to the movie’s premiere.

But the biggest perk of all is the chance to be in the movie and ask a question to the cast and crew on camera!
