2. Who’s behind the video?

Things get much worse for Kristen in terms of Malindaz Challenge. While watching the 95-minute video, Kristen’s daughters overhear the low-frequency voice from the other room. The following day, Lila attempts to stab her own eardrum.

This event is what leads David, Kristen, and Ben to confront Malindaz. She tells them that a producer named Mike is behind the hidden track. Turns out, Mike is no other than Leland. Although Leland isn’t shown much on-screen in this episode, he still manages to lend a heavy hand with a majority of the drama.

David, Kristen, and Ben tell Malindaz that if she doesn’t take the video down they will head to the police. Malindaz then films an apology video and reports to her followers that the video will be taken down. Is this the last we’ll see of Malindaz? Will the next episode introduce us to another soldier of Leland’s?

1. Notes from Julia & that HUGE cliffhanger

With a scene in the confessional and photos being sent to David and Renée, we discover that the two did sleep together following the events in the previous episode. Now, it appears that someone is stalking David.

This portion of the episode is the only time we truly learn about any of the characters’ motives or past. After confessional, a man is seen trailing behind David. When David goes to see who is following him, the man seemingly vanishes.

David then starts to find random messages: a heart with an arrow shooting through it on the inside of his windshield, a note on his pillow that’s written in his deceased fiance’s handwriting, and photos of his and Renée’s nighttime rendezvous.

We’re still unsure as to who is behind these messages. It seems that the obvious bet would be to blame the man who was previously seen following David. But not everything is as it seems in Evil. And, speaking of the man following David…

This episode of Evil ends with a major cliff-hanger. After leaving the confessional for the second time, David is attacked. We witness the man stab David, and then after a quick brawl, take off — leaving David sprawled on the sidewalk.
