The sci-fi/horror anthology, Portals is currently streaming on Crackle. Are you ready to explore the other side?

Portals consists of three individual stories, each of them involving the same catastrophic event. When scientists create a man made black hole, chaos ensues, with a worldwide blackout and mass disappearances. Huge black stone-like portals pop up everywhere, and they seem to draw people to them.

In The Other Side, Adam and Kate travel with their young daughter to what they believe will be a safe location, and get too close to one of the portals. Adam awakens in a hospital, not sure what has happened, or who he should trust. Should he believe what the doctor and nurse are telling him?

Call Center is set at a 911 call center, which is naturally overwhelmed with calls from panicked citizens after the worldwide disaster. When one of the stressed dispatchers starts getting what he believes to be messages from the portals, he loses his grip on sanity, and his co-workers are in danger.

Sarah introduces us to two sisters who are trapped in an underground parking lot when the disaster occurs. One of the sisters starts to hear the siren call of the monoliths.

As with many anthologies, there is a wraparound story involving a prologue and an epilogue, and it focuses on the scientists who brought about the catastrophic events in Portals.

Portals is directed by four veterans in the horror genre, including The Blair Witch Project creator Eduardo Sanchez, Gregg Hale (Split Screen), Liam O’Donnell (Beyond Skyline) and Timo Tjahjanto (V/H/S/2).

Actors appearing in the film include Neil Hopkins (Lost), Phet Mahathongdy (Skyline), Ptolemy Slocum (Westworld), Deanna Russo (Burning Love) and Gretchen Lodge (Lovely Molly).
