Bruce Campbell reunited with the remaining cast members of Brisco County, Jr. along with some new faces to do a live table reading of the very first episode of the show for charity. Since it was a success, is there a chance for a limited series or movie in the future?

Bruce Campbell got back in the saddle again, so to speak, last night when he reunited with cast members from his 1990’s steampunk western show, Brisco County, Jr. Creator Carlton Cuse was on hand along with Kelly Rutherford (Dixie Cousins), Christian Clemenson (Socrates Poole), John Astin (Professor Wickwire) and John Pyper-Ferguson (Pete Hutter).

It was great to see the gang together again after twenty-six years. The supporting cast was simply phenomenal and read like a list of who’s who in television.

  • Baron Vaughn: Lord Bowler
  • Marc Evan Jackson: John Bly
  • Richard Kind: Thorogood
  • Okieriete Onaodowan: Big Smith
  • Ana Villafane: Amanda Wickwire
  • Eric Edelstein: Narrator
  • Nestor Carbonell: Jordan Collier
  • Khary Payton (The Walking Dead): Various roles
  • Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911): Various roles

Since last night’s performance was a resounding success, is there a possibility that Bruce Campbell and company could do a limited series or even an original movie on a streaming service?

We all know that Campbell has a fondness for westerns and has expressed an interest on social media in revisiting Brisco. Case in point, his April Fool’s Day tweet teasing fans with the return of their favorite character.

After all, there was a plan for Season 2. It would be interesting to catch up with Brisco and see where he is at this stage in his life. Would he and Dixie be married?

What would he be doing now? Is there a Brisco County, III and would he be following in his grandfather and father’s footsteps?

So many unanswered questions that could possibly be resolved. It would seem like a movie might be the route to go on a service like Amazon Prime or IMDb TV since the series is available for streaming on their platform.

The time is right for a hero and Brisco County, Jr. seems like the man for the job.
