The CW’s fall schedule should excite genre fans with the return of Swamp Thing and the final episodes of the beloved fan favorite, Supernatural.

The Winchester boys saddle up for one last ride on Supernatural.  According to Deadline, Season 15 kicks off with the first of its final episodes on Thursday, October 8.

Season 14 left us with questions as to the outcome of the brothers’ fate. This series has been a roller coaster ride going to hell and back. Now, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles come together to portray the characters that they originated way back in 2005 for the last time.

For a fan favorite like Supernatural  to be on the air for 15 years and remain just as engrossing throughout, is quite an accomplishment. While it will be bitter sweet saying goodbye to Sam and Dean, Supernatural has always been about surprises.

So, let’s hope the finale is the definitive swan song. However, the end of Supernatural isn’t the only news coming from the CW. Do not unbuckle that seat belt just yet, a certain green superhero is resurfacing.

The DC live action series Swamp Thing finds a new home on October 4th. Fans will remember the DC Universe streaming exclusive series was canceled before its first season even ended which was unexpected and unfortunate.

Swamp Thing was an impressive outing for the famed organic hero, featuring Derek Mears (Friday The 13th 2009) as the creature. By all accounts, the show seemed to be a win with viewers and the expectation for a Season 2 renewal appeared to be in the cards.

Of course, this wasn’t meant to be. So, if you never got the chance to watch the series when it originally aired, the CW has you covered.

Supernatural and Swamp Thing aren’t the only attractions coming to the small screen. The CW’s fall schedule has something for everyone. You can check out the updated lineup on Deadline.
