RetroPop Live! Halloween: Virtual fest time travels back to the 80’s
RetroPop Live! Halloween is a free virtual fest that combines a live stream show with a double feature drive-in event to send fans back to the golden age of horror, the 1980’s.
RetroPop Live! Halloween is just one of the many festivals that is following the digital trend of doing a virtual event in light of COVID-19 lockdowns. However, this particular gathering will transport fans back to the golden age of horror, the 1980’s.
Just like a traditional convention experience, there will be cast reunions, autograph signings, meet and greets, horror collector spotlights as well as collectible merchandise. One of the hot tickets will be the 40th anniversary celebration of Friday the 13th.
Ari Lehman, who has the distinction of being the first actor to portray the iconic hockey mask wearing slasher, Jason Voorhees will be in attendance along with Adrienne King. Another special treat for F13 admirers, Lehman’s band, First Jason will be shredding some tunes.
If you are into cult films, this is going to be a rare treat. The Chiodo Brothers who gave us the classic B flick, Killer Klowns from Outer Space will be holding a Q & A session.
Of course, what event featuring mega hits from the golden age of horror would be complete without a panel dedicated to Child’s Play? Alex Vincent and Edan Gross will be on hand to chat with virtual viewers.
The best part of RetroPop Live! Halloween in addition to all the fantastic guests is it is FREE! Starting Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. PT, the event can be seen online.
