Nike’s Freddy Krueger sneakers are ready for primetime
1, 2, Freddy Krueger is coming for you as a pair of Nike sneakers. This Nightmare on Elm Street inspired footwear is to die for.
Freddy Krueger, the man of our nightmares is about to become a fashionista. That’s right. Wes Craven’s smart mouth slasher icon is the muse for an upcoming pair of Nike kicks.
Sneaker News is reporting that the famed sneaker maker has revealed its upcoming Air Max 95 and it is modeled after Robert Englund’s legendary character. Who doesn’t want horror themed footwear?
Apparently, the tennies resemble Nancy’s tormenter’s favorite sweater. There will be slight alterations to the color schemes, though.
Where Krueger’s jumper is red and dark green, the Air Max 95 version will be a mixture of canvas and mesh with olive and burgundy overtones. Another cool touch, the toe caps are light blue suede in color.
As if that isn’t enough, there are more horrifying add-ons. “Blood splatter” will be featured on the front of the shoe and it will also be “dripping” down the back from the Nike Air moniker.
This unique Freddy Krueger memorabilia is something that every fan should have in their closet. There will be other nods to the franchise featured on the sneakers, as well.
