Joe Exotic, the self-proclaimed Tiger King is back in a new two-part ID Channel documentary, Tigers, Lies and Cover-Up focusing on the mysterious disappearance of Carole Baskin’s first husband.

Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin are like the power couple of reality television. Netflix’s immensely successful mini-series, Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness made the duo household names.

Even though the show is several months old, the intrigue surrounding the pair hasn’t died down. Baskin will be appearing on the new season of Dancing with the Stars, believe it or not.

As for Joe Exotic, he has an original two-part documentary coming out that will air on the ID Channel. The first segment, Tigers, Lies and Cover-Up delves into the mysterious circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Carole Baskin’s first husband, Don Lewis.

For years, there have been rumors about the unfortunate situation. The biggest one intimating that Baskin killed him and had his body ground up and fed to her tigers. Joe was firmly entrenched behind that theory and even wrote a song about it called, “Here Kitty Kitty.”

This three-hour production will include interviews with Joe in prison. Retired homicide investigator, Jim Rathmann will follow up on new leads in the case as well as looking at prior evidence. Tigers, Lies and Cover-Up premieres on Sept. 27 at 9 p.m.

The second part of the series, Before He Was King, focuses on the childhood traumas and events that shaped Joe’s psyche. What caused him to become paranoid and delusional?

Fans will be treated to never-before-seen photos of the Tiger King along with home movie footage and rare interviews with the pop cult phenom. Viewers can tune into this program on Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. on the ID Channel.
