Shudder continues 61 Days of Halloween with some new additions in October, including some previously unannounced surprises (as promised).

Shudder rolled out 61 Days of Halloween in September, releasing the titles of most upcoming features, but also hinted that there would be some surprise announcements coming up. A few of those surprises will pop up in October, and we now have the title for The Last Drive-In Halloween special as well.

Oct. 1:

2020 All-New Ghoul Log  – The Halloween version of the Christmas Yule Log returns for its third season this October. Stream it whenever you need that special Halloween ambiance, it’s available 24/7. (Also available in Canada, UK and ANZ)

According to Shudder: “This year’s addition has been lovingly crafted by a fan-favorite filmmaker who knows a thing or two about the holiday.” The mystery creator will be announced on October 1.

Scare Me – Fred aspires to be a writer, and makes a solo trip to a cabin in the woods to write a horror novel. After a power outage, he is joined by Fanny, a very successful horror author and the two begin to compete at telling scary stories. Starring Josh Ruben and Aya Cash, Scare Me is a horror comedy. (Also available in Canada, UK and ANZ)

The Price of Fright Collection – Vincent Price’s name is closely associated with horror, and a collection of five Price films will be presented: The Fall of the House of Usher, The Masque of the Red Death and The Tomb of Ligeia. Two additional films will be available beginning Oct. 5. (Oct. 1 titles also available on Shudder Canada)

House of 1000 Corpses – Rob Zombie created this gory film, which introduces us to the Firefly family (who would also later appear in The Devil’s Rejects and 3 From Hell). Two couples find themselves trapped in a horrific house of murder when they set out to investigate the story of Dr. Satan. (Also available on Shudder Canada)

Oct. 5:

The Monster Club – Part of the Price of Fright Collection, this one tells the tale of a vampire, a horror writer, and shared tales of terror. The Monster Club features Vincent Price, John Carradine, Donald Pleasence and Barbara Kellerman.

WNUF Halloween Special – This unique 2013 film is presented as a local television station’s Halloween Special recorded on Halloween night, 1987, fake commercials and promos included.
