The Holzer Files returns to Travel Channel to kick off season 2 just in time for Halloween. Join Dave Schrader, Cindy Kaza and Shane Pittman as they take on spooky new cases.

The Holzer Files premiered last year on Travel Channel and quickly became a hit. Veteran paranormal investigator, Dave Schrader, medium Cindy Kaza and technician Shane Pittman were a formidable team reopening the cases of Hans Holzer, the Father of Ghost Hunting.

Joining the trio on their quest to understand the unknown are Holzer’s daughter, Alexandra and researcher Gabe Roth. The new season begins on Oct. 29 just in time for Halloween.

Fans of the series can look forward to thirteen brand new episodes of revisiting famous hauntings. Schrader and company will be heading to a New York City mansion and the Maryland tavern that allegedly hid presidential assassin, John Wilkes Booth after he shot Abraham Lincoln. The first episode, “Phantom Hand” is not for the faint of heart.

Viewers should be prepared to be scared. In 1963, in Cleveland, Ohio, the Todd family witnessed a ghostly hand reaching for them in the direction of the basement door in their apartment. Drastic times call for drastic measures so they felt the best course of action was to nail the entry way shut.

Of course, that didn’t work, so they fled the residence. People who lived in that area of Kingsbury Run started experiencing an abnormal amount of paranormal activity. Hans Holzer was called in to investigate.

He brought medium Ethel Meyers with him but her findings didn’t match up with the history of the area. As a result, many cases were left unsolved. This is where The Holzer Files comes in.

Through their investigation, they unearth clues that point to the fact that the souls haunting the area may have met their untimely demises at the hands of the same well-known killer.
