A Resident Evil chapter coming to Dead by Daylight!

After many fans clamored to get a Resident Evil chapter in Dead by Daylight, it’s officially happening! Dead by Daylight is a popular survival horror video game you can play online with friends.

The game is played with one versus four online multiplayer. One person takes on the role of a killer, which can be anyone from the Demogorgon from Stranger Things to Michael Myers or Freddy Kreuger!

Among the many franchises implemented into the series are Left 4 Dead, Silent Hill, Saw, Evil Dead and now Resident Evil.

A new teaser trailer has been released for the Resident Evil chapter

According to Games Radar, the crossover announcement came from the recent Resident Evil Showcase. Resident Evil fans have a lot of fantastic new content coming soon with the release of Resident Evil Village just a few short weeks away.

The crossover is also great timing as it celebrates Resident Evil‘s 25th Anniversary and Dead by Daylight‘s 5th Anniversary. There aren’t a lot of details right now, but we did get a teaser trailer!

Expect to find out more during the upcoming Dead by Daylight broadcast (for their 5th anniversary), airing May 25. At that point, we should find out which Resident Evil characters will be joining the game.

As you’ll notice from the trailer above, there aren’t a lot of details out just yet. But the haunting trailer does show someone getting devoured by zombies (at least that’s what it looks like and would make sense!). We also see a bloody Umbrella Corps logo fall to the ground.

The theories are already starting to fly about who the big killer is going to be and most people are guessing Nemesis or Mr. X with the survivors likely being Jill, Leon, Claire or some combination of the three.
