Beat the heat this year with Shudder’s upcoming ‘Summer of Chills’
By Carla Davis
Horror streaming platform Shudder has released their “Summer of Chills” lineup, which includes 12 original/exclusive films.
Shudder has been hitting home runs lately with their originals and exclusives and had already announced The Boy Behind the Door as one of their summer additions. Among the remaining 11 films on the summer roster is The Amusement Park, and that’s a pretty big deal.
The Amusement Park is known as George A Romero’s “lost” film. 46 years after it completed filming, Romero’s story about aging was discovered and restored by the George A. Romero Foundation. Shudder GM Craig Engler said they are “especially excited to have the premiere of legendary director George A. Romero’s lost film The Amusement Park, a must-see piece of cinema history, exclusively on Shudder.”
Here is the rundown of the Shudder Summer of Chills lineup:
June 3:
Caveat (Shudder Original, also available on Shudder CA, UKI and ANZ) – Isaac, a drifter suffering from memory loss, accepts a job looking after a psychologically troubled woman named Olga. Sounds easy enough, right? Not really, because he is required to wear a harness and chain. When Olga and Isaac are left alone in the house, Isaac finds himself fighting to survive.
