The Conjuring 3, Lisey’s Story and more horror streaming this weekend, June 4-6

It’s a good weekend for horror fans with big new releases like The Conjuring 3 hitting HBO Max and the anticipated adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Lisey’s Story finally debuting on Apple TV+. But that’s not all, the 2021Wrong Turn remake makes its Showtime premiere and the critically-acclaimed fantasy series Sweet Tooth also hits Netflix this weekend!

HBO Max: The Conjuring 3 on June 4
Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren finally return for one of their most sensational cases. A young man is accused of murder but claims that he was possessed by a demon. The Warrens are forced to investigate a case unlike anything they’ve seen before. The third chapter in this hit franchise will be available to watch in theaters and for a 31-day window on HBO Max beginning on Friday, June 4.
Apple TV+: Lisey’s Story on June 4
Lisey’s Story is an adaptation of the Stephen King novel of the same name starring Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Dane DeHaan and Jennifer Jason Leigh. King also wrote the entire first season of the show. The first two episodes of the series will debut on Apple TV+ on Friday, June 4, with one episode following weekly thereafter.
Netflix: Sweet Tooth Season 1 on June 4
While not quite a conventional horror, Sweet Tooth is a haunting new Netflix series set in a post-apocalyptic world where a half-human and half-deer boy searches for a new beginning alongside his protector. The series is based on a popular comic book series of the same name. All eight episodes will stream on Netflix beginning Friday, June 4.
Showtime: Wrong Turn on June 5
Wrong Turn (2021), a reboot of the film series, makes its cable premiere this weekend on Showtime. The new film follows a group of hikers who stray off course while hiking the Appalachian Trail and find themselves under siege by a community of mountain dwellers who aren’t afraid to use deadly violence to protect their home.
Horror this weekend: What’s new on Shudder from June 4-6?
There aren’t any new additions coming to Shudder this weekend, but the horror streaming service has already stocked its already-impressive catalog with plenty of films to get your summer started off right.
