Nevada: Goblins

If there is one story that we all know about out of Nevada, it is the fact that Area 51 is said to be the place where the United States is hosting aliens. In many stories, aliens are described as grey humanoid creatures with large almond eyes. Other stories describe them as shorter, green creatures.

But what if the thing people have been seeing in Nevada is actually Goblins. Known to be greedy creatures with a penchant for gold and jewels, the smaller creatures have sometimes been described as having green or grey skin tones.

In a lot of stories, Goblins can get very angry if people get in their way, and if you do stand in the way of what you want, you could just disappear. So what if the aliens we thought we saw are actually these mischievous creatures?

While they are certainly not good, goblins aren’t necessarily malicious. And it would make sense that instead of aliens, people were actually being tricked by goblins on the hunt for treasures of their own.

Having the goblin represent the state of Nevada just makes sense with the entire legend of the Area 51 aliens. And even if it wasn’t really goblins, it still works for the state to have some little creatures of mischief running around looking for gold and jewels.
