This weekend, July 9 to 11, several new and old scary movies release on streaming services. The weekend is an excellent time to curl up in the living room with a big bowl of popcorn and the latest horror flick, so this list should help you find the best one to watch this weekend. 5. Fear Street Part 2: 1978 (2021) — Netflix, Available Now
This week, the sequel to Fear Street airs on Netflix. School’s out for the summer in 1978, and Shadysiders are about to embark on an epic vacation at Camp Nightwing. But when one Shadysider becomes possessed with the urge to kill, the campers will find themselves fighting to survive the night.
We briefly met C. Berman at the end of the first Fear Street, but this is her story, and she takes center stage in 1978, albeit played by Sadie Sink rather than Gillian Jacobs. The film also stars Emily Rudd, McCabe Slye, Jordana Spiro, and Cruel Summer breakout Chiara Aurelia.
