Best horror movies available to watch this weekend, July 23-25

Another weekend is upon us, and that means it’s time to break down some of the best horror movies to watch at home, on streaming, VOD, or in theaters! From a new M. Night Shyamalan film to Netflix’s vampire horror Blood Red Sky, here are six of the best horror movies to watch this weekend, July 23-25.

Also, there are some great horror television shows for those who would rather settle in for a binge-watch. The first three episodes of American Horror Stories are now available on Hulu. A new episode of Evil Season 2 releases on Paramount+ this Sunday, and a new episode of SurrealEstate airs this evening on SYFY.

Blood Red Sky (2021)

  • Now on Netflix
  • Director: Peter Thorwarth
  • Starring: Peri Baumeister, Alexander Scheer, Kai Setti, Carl Koch, Gordon Brown, Roland, Møller, Chidi Ajufo, Kai Ivo Baulitz, Graham McTavish, and Dominic Purcell

Forget snakes on a plane, what about vampires on an airplane? There isn’t much scarier than that. In this new Netflix thriller, a group of terrorists hijacks an overnight transatlantic flight, terrorizing the passengers. A woman with a mysterious illness onboard the flight unleashes her monstrous secret to protect her child because there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for her son.

M. Night Shymalan is back with a new supernatural horror film. Old is out in theaters this weekend and as the title suggests, it revolves around a mysterious location that causes people to age rapidly.
